American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law
The ABA Center on Children and the law works to improve children’s lives through advances in law, justice, knowledge, practice, and public policy.

Casey Family Services
Casey Family Services is a fully licensed and accredited non-profit child welfare agency providing programs to vulnerable children and families throughout New England and in Baltimore, Md. Casey Family Services offers foster care, as well as post-adoption, preservation and reunification services for families. Casey also offers innovative community-based programs to help strengthen families and enable parents to provide healthy, nurturing environments to children.

Child Welfare Information Gateway
Formerly the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse, Child Welfare Information Gateway provides access to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. A service of the Children’s Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Child Welfare League of America (CWLA)

Afterschool.gov offers one-stop access to government resources that support after school programs. American Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics is dedicated to the attainment of optimal physical, mental and social health and and well-being of all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Office of Child Care
The Office of Child Care supports low-income working families through child care financial assistance and promotes children’s learning by improving the quality of early care and education and afterschool programs.

Office of Head Start
Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs that serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. They are child-focused programs with the goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children, with more than 100,000 members, a national network of nearly 450 local, state, and regional affiliates, and a growing global alliance of organizations.

National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC)
NAFCC provides technical assistance to family child care associations by developing leadership and professionalism, increasing diversity, and by promoting quality and professionalism through NAFCC’s Family Child Care Accreditation.

Parents Action for Children
Parents’ Action for Children is a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing the interests of families and young children. Parents’ Action develops parent education materials, connects parents with one another, and fights for issues such as early education, health care, and high quality and affordable child care.

Family Safety

American Red Cross
American Red Cross is the nation’s premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguished itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters.

Child Welfare League of America
The Child Welfare League of America is the nation’s oldest and largest membership-based child welfare organization. It is committed to engaging people everywhere in promoting the well-being of children, youth and their families; and protecting every child from harm.

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services
Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, located in Madison, Wisconsin, offers a 24-hour crisis line, a 25-bed safe house for women and their children, legal advocacy, support groups, information and referrals. DAIS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

National Crime Prevention Council (NPCP)
NCPC is a private, nonprofit tax-exempt organization that enables people to create safer and more caring communities by addressing the causes of crime and violence and reducing the opportunities for crime to occur. NCPC publishes books, program materials, posters, and reports.

Youth Violence Prevention
Youth violence is a significant public health problem that affects thousands of young people each day, and in turn, their families, schools, and communities. Youth violence is preventable. The ultimate goal is to stop youth violence before it starts.

Relationships and Safety
One in four women in the United States experiences violence from an intimate partner. Intimate partner violence includes domestic abuse, sexual assault, verbal and emotional abuse, coercion, and stalking. The Office on Women’s Health offers resources to help those experiencing or recovering from unsafe relationships.

Parents Anonymous ® Inc. is the the nation’s oldest child abuse prevention organization, dedicated to strengthening families and building caring communities that support safe and nurturing homes for all children.

National Parent Helpline
This toll-free hotline (1-855-4A PARENT/ 1-855-427-2736) and website seeks to strengthen families by helping parents and building protective factors. Helpline Advocates provide emotional support and referrals in English and Spanish to parents, caregivers and organizations.

StopAlcoholAbuse.Gov
StopAlcoholAbuse.Gov is a comprehensive portal of Federal resources for information on underage drinking and ideas for combating this issue. People interested in underage drinking prevention — including parents, educators, community-based organizations, and youth-will find a wealth of valuable information here.

National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC)

Parents Anonymous
Parents Anonymous Inc. is the the nation’s oldest child abuse prevention organization, dedicated to strengthening families and building caring communities that support safe and nurturing homes for all children. Parents Anonymous leads a network of 267 accredited organizations and local affiliates that implement program for adults and children.

Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)
PFLAG is a national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates in the United States. PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of people who are LGBTQ, their families and friends.

Partnership for Parents
The Partnership for Parents is a support network for parents of children with serious illnesses.  The organization offer parents the solace of kindred spirits as well as information they need to cope with their difficult situation.

Postpartum Support International (PSI)
One 1 in 7 women suffer from postpartum depression. PSI increases awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. PSI’s toll-free Help Line, in English and Spanish, rapidly refers callers to appropriate local resources, including emergency services.

SAMHSA Family Guide
SAMHSA.gov is a public education Web site, developed to support the efforts of parents and other caring adults to promote mental health and prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs among children.

Afterschool Alliance works to ensure that all youth have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs. Their mission is to engage public will to increase public and private investment in quality afterschool program initiatives at the national, state and local levels.

Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)
GLSEN is the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for ALL students.
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

Adolescent and School Health
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) offers publications, fact sheets, data and other resources about adolescents and their schools.

Advocates for Youth
Advocates for Youth partners with youth leaders, adult allies, and organizations to advocate for policies and champion programs that recognize young people’s rights to honest sexual health information; accessible, confidential, and affordable sexual health services; and the resources and opportunities necessary to create sexual health equity for all youth.
