Suicide Prevention
More people die from suicide than from homicide in the U.S. every year. Roughly 30,000 Americans commit suicide annually, while 500,000 attempt it. For young people ages 15 to 24, suicide is the third leading cause of death. Men are far more likely to die from suicide than women. However, women are more likely to attempt suicide than men are.
